Commitment to Privacy

At Clinical Consulting Services, LLC, (also known as CCS) it is our commitment to comply with Privacy Shield Principles and participate in the Privacy Shield which was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and European Commission. EU-US Privacy

CCS complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries. CCS has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.   • CCS commits to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.

The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over our compliance in regard to all Privacy Shield Principles.

It is important to note, under certain limited conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration before the Privacy Shield Panel when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted. CCS has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, JAMS Privacy Shield Program. Pursuant with the Privacy Shield Framework and the EU Dispute Protection Authority requirement, CCS uses USCIB (United States Council for International Business) as an Independent Recourse Mechanism (IRM) for dispute resolution.

CCS shall remain liable under the Principles if its agent processes such personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless the organization proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Information Collected and How We Use It

Clinical Trial Recruitment:

  • We collect personal information that allows us to match individuals to different clinical studies or provide health-related information based upon your interests.  This information is provided to us when any questionnaire specific or general to a clinical study is completed.  If you qualify for a study your information is passed to the clinical site for further qualification into the study.  All information is provided voluntarily.

Clinical Trial Site Management:

We collect and store data associated with the clinical research sites and their staff so that they can be contacted for the purpose of recruitment and retention. Investigator information is provided by the sponsors and other contacts at the sites are obtained with consultation of the site contact provided by the sponsor.

Business and Legal Compliance: 

We may use your personal information for legal and business compliance purposes:

- to enforce legal rights;

- in connection with a business transaction;

-  to comply with legal obligations and

- to protect third parties

Our agents, partners and contractors will only use your information to the extent necessary to perform their functions.

In accordance with most websites, CCS gathers information automatically which is stored. Depending on the configuration of the website, this information may include IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.

Choice and Means
